Chia seeds from South America safe? Empty Chia seeds from South America safe?

I was reading some reviews on Chia seeds and how the supply from South America is dubious on Quality, but from Australia the best, is this true?

I'd like the trust the Organic certification that products receive once inside the EU (UK here) but cannot be sure from source what the conditions were, even though these things are regulated.
